Rainbow Felt Pillbox is a couture headpiece made specifically for an International Millinery Competition. It was selected for display at the Hat Museum of France, near Lyon, France.
The shape was created on a vintage 1920's hat block and is very unusual.
The decoration is made from individually cut industrial felt decoration in the colours of the rainbow. They were created as small flowers and leaves.
The hat is able to be turned over to be worn from either side, and each view is different in detail as the colours on each side change.
It was blocked in black wool felt base.
Perfect for a statement winter headpiece.
