Orange Pink Flower Brim

Orange Pink Flower Brim is a full width Dior style 'coolie' shape.

This hat shape is called 'Carla' at Wendy Scully Millinery. It is the Dior style brim with the point in the centre, reminiscent of the shape of the straw hats of Vietnam which influenced Christian Dior in their original Brim design..

It was a shape featured in some of the 'New Look' Dior hats in the 1950s.

This example is covered in a bright orange silk abaca fabric that has been ruched when attached to the surface of the hat  brim to give a fabulous texture.

A profusion of pink, orange and hand dyed silk flowers and petals create a riot of colour over the brim.

The Brim is secured in place with an orange ribbon wrapped wide headband. This will allow the Brim to stay perfectly in place angled down the right side of your head. The angle creates an alluring look and importantly also creates the allusion of height.
