Cream Silk Pillbox Hat is a style based on a hat from the 1950s.
This hat is made of three bands of silk each with a lightly wired underlying structure. The silk is vintage dupion silk.
At the rear of this pillbox style hat are generous silk bows, in two different sizes and slightly different shades of cream. There is no crown in this hat.
There is a light off white veil bow also at the back. This millinery creation would match many styles of fashion styles. The hat sits neatly at the back of the head, where an internal comb holds it in place. This particular example is a medium head size.

It is possible to have different configurations of this headpiece, from single bands to this style with a complete crown to close the hat over.
