Blue White Textured Hat

Blue White Textured Hat is a blast from the past. A real classic 1940's look given a modern contemporary makeover.

Wendy has used one of her very special vintage French hat blocks to shape this elegant and sophisticated hat.

She has used blue and white textured fabric blocked over the  small shaped brim with a low crown. It's a bit like a mini brim, so popular in the 30's and 40's. A simple white Pertersham fabric wraps around the crown to provide an elegant definition. 

Blue White Textured Hat may be simple but it's a showstopper. The soft blue and white will allow you to match this to so many outfits and other colours.  It is also multi seasonal if desired. 

The name of this vintage hat block is "Paris".

The most important thing about this hat is how you wear it.  Wear it to the right or the left side. But most important of all is make sure there is a tilt, an angle , a line of mystery by partly covering an eye. You can play around with the position of this hat but make sure you are creating an angle and line of interest. 

Definitely a hat for the Spring Racing season. This would also suit many other occasions such as a wedding.
