The fabric is vintage Japanese Obi brocade silk.
It has a generous silk bow with ties hanging down. This hat also has ruched layers of veiling, in black, around the edge of the hat.
It has a comb at the front of the hat to help secure it in place. There is the option of a fine headband being added for extra security when wearing.
This millinery piece is perfect for a Derby Day event during spring, or as an elegant winter statement.
The hat block used to create this unique shape is "Maxi".
