Description
Red Silk Flower Headband is a whimsical and playful hat. Originally designed and made for a runway. This hat was part of a Slavic Fairytales theme runway event at Fashions of Multicultural Australia (FOMA) in Sydney in December 2022. Additionally this hat was show cased in another runway event for Melbourne Fashion week in March 2023.
Details of Hat: The hat is a wide soft padded headband that sits comfortably on your head. The padded headband is covered in a bronze coloured silk. Additionally a second layer of hand coloured red floral vintage lace is placed over this.
Exquisite vintage German silk flowers are the key feature of this hat. Moreover they are complimented by smaller red silk flowers and leaves. The flowers sit higher on the right side and down on the left side of the head. This creates a lovely off centre balance.
In addition hanging down each side of your head are gold metal laser cut leaves and hand coloured guipure lace tendrils. Ruby and red crystals are placed throughout to add a final touch of bling and sparkle.
How to Wear this hat: It is a headband so it sits easily on top of your head. Let the red tendrils drop down either side of your head like long earrings.
Where to wear this hat: Anywhere you like. Also this would be a stand out piece for the Spring Racing season. The reds and golds will allow you to wear this with so many outfits. Such a feminine and colourful piece. Moreover it would be an ideal piece for the Fashions on the Field.
