Floral Black White Pillbox is such a clever pill box hat. The simple black and white pill box has been elevated to another level with the use of black crinoline as a veil. The pill box is made from a straw base. This is then covered in a pure white silk fabric. That is then covered with a black burn out lace. But why stop there. To elevate the hat to another level Wendy has wrapped black crinoline around the pill box as a veil. A final beautiful touch is to have the crinoline tied in a bow at the back of the hat.
Wow, what a beautiful and elegant hat. This is simply stunning. Absolutely perfect for the Derby Day Races this year at the Melbourne Cup carnival. It would in fact be perfect for so many occasions. An evening cocktails event or any race day. And for a mother of the bride or wedding guest this hat would be simply divine.
Wear this pill box to the side of the head , left or right side. That way the line of the crinoline drops down across your face creating a beautiful angle. This also creates an illusion of height. The pillbox is actually a percher style hat meaning it just sits (perches) on your head. There is an elastic attached which wraps under your hair to keep it snuggly in place. You can wear your hair up or down with a pill box like this.
