I meet Tatyana when I presented hats at the Vogue Fashion Week Spring event, at St Collins Lane Shopping Arcade, in 2017. Tatyana, a Melbourne base couture fashion designer and teacher, is now a good friend and we often exchange ideas and projects. Her design/teaching studio is in St Kilda. https://www.tatyanadesign.com
Tatyana designed and made the dress for my Millinery Award entry in 2018. She also created a stunning pants suit for another client. I created the beautiful classic cloche for the client.
Recently I have been working with her on hat designs that her couture clients can finish themselves, with me providing the hat base and guidance to finish a 1950s style hat to match their finished outfit.
