Rose Gold Spiral Fascinator is a stunning show piece. An absolute stunner. There is something almost Edwardian about this clever rose shaped hat. From a by gone era but yet so contemporary. It is thoroughly modern.
Wendy has shaped metres of vintage crinoline into this gorgeous rose shape. The crinoline has been folded in half and then spiraled into the rose sculpture. The crinoline has been hand sprayed with pinks and gold to create the delightful rose gold look. Separate layers of distressed crinoline with a centre wire have been shaped into white leaves on the underside. The hat sits on a small circle button. Elastic and a comb are attached to ensure this all sits securely on your head.
Crinoline is such a light fabric and this hat is so well balanced you will not realise you are even wearing it. The hat is designed to be worn at an angle down one side of your head.
This is a statement hat. It conjures up an English garden party or wedding. Well why not for the Spring carnival races at Flemington this year. Or a wedding here. You will certainly be noticed and stand out. A hat for a lady who wants to be seen.
