This top hat is a created on a hand made block. The crown and also the brim have been custom made to create a mid-height top hat with a unique crown shape. This hat is reminiscent of the 1890 classic Victorian Era Riding hat, worn by ladies as the rode their horses along the leafy park riding tracks.
Its colour and trim are also fun with a touch of tradition to the modern.
The brim is upturned with an elegant sweep. The top of the crown has a tilted angle that creates almost a Vintage Victorian Riding hat look, created in a multicolour fabric sinamay in shades of mauve. A lively splash of flowers in pure silk cover the side, in tones of whites, mauves and pinks.
This is the shorter crown version of ‘Rennes’. This top hat shape is also available to order in silk or felts.
This particular example of such an eye-catching hat is made is a sinamay of multi-shades of mauve.
So much fun. So unique. So ‘Fashions on the Field’.
