Pale Gold Silk Headband is a stunning piece. You could almost say it evokes a Swan Lake look and the Dance of the Cyngets.
About this Hat: This hat was created from two blocked shapes of both made on a 1950s hat block. This is the only hat block of this shape in the world. It has a unique gorgeous flowing shape that curves in front of the left ear.
The top piece is covered in vintage Japanese silk from an Obi belt. Moreover the silk is of a pale gold colour. Additionally the fabric has been ruched (effectively pleated). This creates shades and shadows on the fabric for a dramatic effect. Also small crystals have been sewn over the fabric which sparkle in the light. The underlying piece is completely covered in hand beaded crystals. These all glitter and shine day and night.
There is a sumptuous elegance about this piece. A unique custom made hat block was used for this hat. Moreover Wendy was inspired by some of the pieces worn by Grace Kelly in creating this beautiful hat. Each side curves around your ears and sits perfectly in place. Pure Grace Kelly elegance.
The veil is separate from the headband and is attached to its own narrow silk covered headband. In addition this is a simple diamond shaped veil spotted with pearls. Moreover the veil does beautifully compliment the main headband but it is up to you to wear it with or without a veil.
How to Wear this Hat: It is a headband that will simply sit and wrap around your head. So easy to wear. An elastic can be used to go under your hair. The veil sits on its own easy to wear narrow headband.
