Here Wendy has hand shaped the crown base herself. No hat block was used. The crown base is padded and covered in gold silk. Over that there is a layer of gold mesh. The final touch is the covering of gold metal leaves. Each gold metal leaf has been hand cut and embossed by Wendy. The metal petals are so thin and light you can bend them to different positions.
There is a comb underneath and elastic so you can be assured the headband will stay securely on your head. The headband is designed to sit down one side of your head. Its up to you to wear it in the optimum position for your head shape.
