Cream Flower Halo Headband Sand and Pearl

Cream Flower Halo Headband is a totally different and bold halo style of headband. Wendy created this piece specifically for a runway show on "Australiana" and this hat was to capture the essence of the great Australian sandy beaches. Accordingly Wendy calls this incredible hat "Sand". It is certainly a unique piece. The headband is made with a creamy beige vintage silk as the base fabric and then hand beaded with hundreds of crystals and pearls. The vintage silk was sourced from an old Japanese Obi which is the long belt of a Kimono. The hand beading alone for this hat took over 40 hours. It is truly a labour of love creating a piece like this.
The handmade flowers add depth and elegance to the halo headband. Halo is unique shape for any headpiece. In wearing this hat it sits at the back of the head so you can put your hair under or even attach a veil under at the back for a bridal headpiece with a difference. This is definitely a piece to try on before you buy. Its a wide headband and for the shy lady or smaller head size you may feel overwhelmed. • The halo headpiece was made on a custom made hat block by Wendy.
• The headband is made with a creamy beige vintage silk sourced from an old Japanese Kimono belt. It is decorated with hand beaded crystals and pearls.
• The headband is connected by a bow at the back made from the same silk fabric.
• Large white silk flowers made from Goose feathers adorn one side of the headband. The centres of these flowers are clusters of opaque pearls for a touch of detail
• There is elastic attached so you can be assured it will securely sit on your head.
