Black White Spanish Boater is another classic brim, using a white mesh straw base and a beautiful applied lace and silk on the brim. It is a white straw brim hat with black lace covering the brim and a gorgeous satin black silk wrapped around the crown and tied in a bow at the side.
This hat style has a slightly more generous crown and a wider brim that channels that old world charm of yesteryear. It suits many face shapes. There are so many occasions and events for which this hat could be used.
This Spanish style boater just sits slightly over the head so it will feel secure. It is different to a full crown that sits right down over your head. There is a comb attached inside to fit into your hair. An elastic is also attached so this boater will stay in place however you wear it.
In wearing a boater like this always have it at a tilted angle. Never simply place it on top of your head. Go for that interesting angle either side of your face. It can be slightly forward to partly cover your eyeline or it can sit towards the back of your head. Its up to you and the look you want to achieve.
You can wear your hair down with a boater like this or for that absolutely elegant and formal look have your hair up in a bun.
