Black White Lace Hat is a very stylish classic shaped hat from a bygone era. This hat is covered in white silk and white lace. A satin black silk wraps around the crown tied in a bow at the back and black petersham trim adds the final touch.
Another classic style that evokes the 1940’s and 1950’s and earlier. Dare we say an almost Ingrid Bergman look from the famous “Casablanca” movie. In this case we have a brim style hat with pill box style crown. It’s oh so elegant for any age or occasion. Perfect in the Royal Enclosure at Ascot and is in accordance with their strict sizing guidelines for Ladies Hats. Here in Australia it would be the perfect hat for Derby Day.
This is a full crown so it sits neatly and securely over your head. The line of the brim should be just on or above the eye line.

Please be mindful that this style of hat can be made in a variety of materials, from Turquoise silk, to white lace with black trim, to a patterned black and white fabric. The bow ideally sits at the back of the crown however it can be made with the bow at the front or whatever position you like. Any colours or materials could be used with this brim to perfectly match your outfit.
