Looking like the real Australian Black Cockatoo of the wild this fascinator is made of a ball of black feathers which just the one orange feather all sitting on a black crushed glass headband crown.
This is a show stopper. Only the confident lady who wants to be seen will wear this. Its like a show girl hat out of Folies Bergere. Yet it is so balanced and poised and beautiful to behold. You’ll feel like a majestic Black Cockatoo is actually sitting along side of you.
These black feathers are goose feathers. There are actually over 500 hundred individual feathers gathered together to create this stunning feather ball.
The headband crown is made from the hat block Wendy calls “Deco”. Its a perfect shape headband to hold this majestic ball of feathers. The headband is covered in a black crushed glass fabric. Its a unique millinery fabric that Wendy expertly uses to create dazzling pieces. The glistening black glass is a wonderful offset to the matt black feathers.
